Vision Statement:  
Blue Water Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing ministry working to eliminate substandard housing and make it a matter of concern in St. Clair County.

Mission Statement:  
Blue Water Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with local families, churches, businesses, organizations and community members, will build, rehabilitate and repair homes in our community to form a stronger community through the elimination of substandard housing in St. Clair County.

Operating Guidelines: Blue Water Habitat for Humanity will accomplish its vision and mission by:
     ~Discovering Teamwork ; BWHFH will provide welcoming, safe and productive volunteer opportunities.
     ~Discovering Joy ; BWHFH will work to make all partner families self sustaining by empowering them to break the cycle of poverty housing through education, skill development and mentoring.
     ~Discovering Love in Action ; BWHFH will work to form partnerships with local businesses, churches, organizations and individuals to provide the necessary funds and labor to build simple, decent homes.
     ~Discovering Simple and Decent ; BWHFH will provide (sell) each partner family with a simple, decent and affordable home, either through the new construction of a home, or the rehabilitation or making of necessary repairs of an existing home.
     ~Disovering Community ; BWHFH will provide all partner families with the appropriate knowledge to become successful homeowners and good neighbors, and will build partnerships within the local community to strengthen the work done by all community organizations.
     ~Discovering New Skills ; BWHFH will provide an educational environment in which volunteers and partner families will learn new skills.
     ~Discovering Compassion ; BWHFH will raise awareness about substandard housing and the need to eliminate it.
     ~Discovering Purpose ; BWHFH will demonstrate fiscal responsibility to all donors, churches, businesses, organizations and partner families as we use those partnerships and resources to continue working toward the elimination of substandard housing.
