Groups
We Welcome Groups Whether you are large or small, local, from a place far, far away, or in-between, come build with us! We usually have projects in progress all year around and we can accommodate nearly any type of group. We provide site supervision for our construction sites when needed. The Blue Water Area sits on an International border and offers sandy beaches, the Great Lakes oldest lighthouse, a light ship open for tours, museums that highlight Thomas Edison, as Port Huron was his boyhood home, as well as the tall ship, Highlander Sea, open for tours in season, just to name a few. All this is nestled on the shores of the busiest waterway in the world, the St. Clair River, and Lake Huron. We have gracious local hospitality from support of our local churches and eateries that cater to our visitors. Accommodations can range from the use of a local church to using the local Boy Scout or Girl Scout Camp, camping at one of the local state parks, rental of a cottage on Lake Huron or a local motel. Churches are customarily free of charge. All other accommodations have a charge. Please email us with details with your needs and we will get back to you. Construction volunteers must go through an orientation. This can either be completed on-line or we would be happy to send an Blue Water Habitat representative to your office. We appreciate your interest in volunteering with Blue Water Habitat and look forward to working with you in the future! |
