Listed below are some of the non-construction volunteer opportunities.

  • Recycling Coordinators —
    assistance is needed approximately once a month to take aluminum and other recylable materials to a recycling center. Prefer individual with a truck and weekday, morning/afternoon availability.  Please contact Ernest at (810) 364-6919 or email for more information.
    ReStore
    • ReStore greeters —
      greeters/merchandise controllers are needed to assist with our Habitat ReStore. Weekday availability is preferred.  Perfect for a retired person or someone with daytime availability on an on-going basis.  Contact the ReStore directly at (810) 364-6919 for more information.
    • Tool Trailer Management —
      Blue Water Habitat seeks one or two people to help us with the inventory and organization of our tool trailers before we begin builds as well as on site during builds.  Please contact Aubree Mayhew at (810) 985-9080 ext. 205
    • Lunch Coordinators —
      individuals and/or groups are needed to either provide lunch for the Saturday work crews as well as weekly work groups that come from a long distance to work with us during the week. We could also use assistance in soliciting businesses, restaurants, church groups and civic groups for lunch donations.  Shift times are very flexible.  Please contact Aubree Mayhew at (810) 985-9080 ext. 205  for more information.
    • General Office Assistance —
      help us with basic office duties such as answering the phone, filing, and mail-outs, etc.  Opportunities are available Monday through Friday during regualr office hours ( 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
    • Site Host —
      seeking volunteer assistance to help us sign in, welcome and coordinate volunteers on the construction sites.  Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Please contact the Aubree Mayhew at (810) 985-9080 ext. 205 for more information.
    • Construction Warehouse Support Team —
      Volunteers are needed to assist with in-house framing, tool repair, construction administrative duties, running errands, warranty calls on completed homes and other duties.  Weekday availability is preferred.  Contact Aubree Mayhew at (810) 985-9080 ext. 205 for more information.
